While broadcasters pursue court action in an attempt to shut down Internet streamer FilmOn.com, the company has added mobile streams of major TV stations to its service.

“FilmOn is providing the next logical step in entertainment as mobile devices have become an integral part of our lives. Free television has always been available to TV set owners. I believe television should be equally as free and readily available to all mobile device owners as well,” said Alki David, founder, FilmOn.

The mobile service is available in HD to any phone with a basic 3G connection. FilmOn’s mobile service is offering 13 English and Spanish network affiliates from the Los Angeles market, plus independent KCAL-TV and the Universal Sports multicast channel.
