Continuing to surge from lead-in at 9pm among Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 18-49 (+18%), the season finale of ABC freshman Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution finished in a virtual-tie for #1 in the 9 o’clock hour among Adults 18-49, pacing within one-tenth of a rating point of first place NBC’s Dateline. In addition, Food Revolution defeated its regular competition in the time period for the 4th time in 5 weeks among Women 18-34.
Friday Night (8-11pm) ABC took second place on Friday with Adults 18-49 and ranked #1 against its network rivals in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.
In the final episode of “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution,” everything Jamie has accomplished unravels when he leaves Huntington. Rhonda is planning to reintroduce processed food into the schools to get rid of the mountain of surplus processed food she ordered, the kids’ parents are pulling their children from Jamie’s lunch program and a majority of the school cooks across the city remain untrained and unwilling to learn. 20/20 (10-11pm):
ABC News’ 20/20 earned second place in the 10 o’clock hour among Adults 18-49. 20/20 featured a segment by Chris Cuomo on a woman’s false allegation that changed the lives of two people forever and a segment by Ashleigh Banfield on a woman that was almost killed by a shotgun blast when she was accidentally shot at point-blank range.
