Fox #2 in a photo finish on Tuesday

Airing its Tuesday comedy block, FOX ranked second last night among Adults 18-49, just one-tenth behind CBS (3.0 vs. 3.1) and won the night among Adults 18-34, Teens and Women 18-49.  In fact, FOX outperformed its nearest competitor among Adults 18-34 by +100% (3.2 vs. 1.6 for both ABC and CBS).


NEW GIRL, GLEE and RAISING HOPE were the top three programs of the night among Young Adults last night.

* GLEE: 3.2/9, down -14% from last week’s Michael Jackson episode but is on par with its prior season average for originals (3.3).
o GLEE was the second-highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34 behind only NEW GIRL and was the #1 program of the night in Teens

* NEW GIRL: 3.5/9, the same as last week’s rating
o NEW GIRL was the #1 program of the night in Adults 18-34 and the second-highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49
o NEW GIRL won the 9pm half hour in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

* RAISING HOPE: 2.2/5, up +10% from last week
o RAISING HOPE won its 9:30pm half hour among Adults 18-34

Competition

Following back-to-back originals of Last Man Standing (2.3/6, down -12% and 2.5/6, down -4%), new ABC drama The River posted a 2.4/6 from 9-11p, declining steadily with every half-hour on the air (2.5 > 2.4 > 2.3 > 2.2).

On CBS, NCIS (4.1/11) was flat with its most recent original, while NCIS: LA (3.1/8, down -6%) and Unforgettable (2.2/6, flat) were both on the low side, down -9% and -8% from their prior season averages.

NBC’s Biggest Loser (2.2/6) was up +5% and at 10pm, Parenthood (1.6/4) closed out the night with its series low, down -6% from its last original.
