Fox and two-hour 'MasterChef' win 18-49 and key demos Wednesday

With a two-hour MASTERCHEF Wednesday premiere, FOX won the night among Adult 18-49, Adults 18-34, Women 18-49/18-34 and Men 18-49/18-34.


Last night’s MASTERCHEF posted a 2.1/6 among Adults 18-49 and showed strong momentum over the course of the night, growing +21% among Adults 18-49 and +17% in Total Viewers in its last half hour versus its first. Despite its decline (-19%) from last week’s one-hour Tuesday telecast, MASTERCHEF easily remains the #1 new series of the summer among Adults 18-49

Competition
ABC ran repeats of The Middle at 8p (1.0/4) and 8:30p (1.1/4), followed by repeats of Modern Family (1.2/4), Cougar Town (1.1/3) and Castle (1.0/3).

On CBS, week six of Big Brother (2.6/9) was up +8% week over week. Repeats of Criminal Minds (1.5/5) and CSI: NY (1.2/4) followed at 9p and 10p.

NBC’s Minute To Win It (1.6/5) delivered its lowest rating ever with a regularly scheduled original, down -16% from last week and -20% from its prior summer average (2.0/7). At 9p, America’s Got Talent (2.5/7) posted its lowest original rating of the summer on any night, down -11% from last Wednesday and -17% from its prior Wednesday average (3.0/9). A repeat Law & Order: SVU posted a 1.4/4 at 10p.
