The very first American Idol winner will be one of three national musical acts performing “The Star Spangled Banner” before the first three games of the World Series on Fox Television. And with the San Francisco Giants representing the National League in the Fall Classic, the iconic singer who left his heart there will also perform in Game 1.

Tony Bennett will be on tap during the seventh inning stretch of the first game 10/27/10 to sing “God Bless America.”

John Legend is on the Game One bill as well, handling National Anthem duties, with Lady Antebellum following for Game Two the next day.

Kelly Clarkson, who first came to the nation’s notice on Fox Television’s long-running hit “American Idol,” will be on hand for the third game to sing the National Anthem.
