FOX Sunday; ‘The Siimpsons’, ‘The Cleveland Show’ finish in third place

Airing against the series finale of Lost and the season finale of The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition, the series finales of FOX’s animated favorites THE SIMPSONS, THE CLEVELAND SHOW and FAMILY GUY led FOX to finish third for the night among Adults 18-49, No. 2 among Adults 18-34 and No. 1 among Teens.


At 8p the season finale of THE SIMPSONS posted a 2.5/8 among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 2 in the half hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and No. 1 among Teens.  At 8:30p the finale of THE CLEVELAND SHOW posted a 2.3/7 among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 2 in the time period among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and No. 1 among Teens.  Airing against the Lost series retrospective special preceding the finale on ABC, THE SIMPSONS (-14%, vs. 2.9/9) and THE CLEVELAND SHOW (-18%, vs. 2.8/8) saw decreases from last week.

At 9p the one-hour FAMILY GUY season finale posted a 3.1/8 among Adults 18-49, ranking No. 2 in the hour among Adults 18-49 (tie) and Adults 18-34 and No. 1 in Teens.  Up against the first hour of the Lost series finale, FAMILY GUY was down -21% versus last week (3.9/10).

TIL DEATH at 7p (0.8/3) and an encore THE SIMPSONS at 7:30p (1.2/4) combined to rank No. 3 in the hour among Adults 18-49 (tie) and Adults 18-34 and No. 2 in Teens.

Competition
After the clip show Lost: The Final Journey (4.0/13), the series finale of ABC’s Lost posted a 5.6/14 from 9-11p, matching its season premiere earlier this spring (5.6/14 on Tue, 2/2/10) and increasing +27% from last season’s finale delivery n the 9-11pm time period.

On CBS, a low 60 Minutes (1.0/4) was followed by the two-hour special Brooks & Dunn: The Last Rodeo (1.8/5) at 8p and a repeat CSI (1.3/3) at 10p.

NBC ran Dateline Sunday (1.1/4) as well as the season finales of Minute To Win It (1.7/5, flat with its last original) and The Apprentice 9: Celebrity Edition (3.4/9, up +10% from last season’s finale on 5/10/09).
