With a two-hour MASTERCHEF, FOX ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-49 for the fifth Wednesday in a row, beating the next highest-rated network (NBC) by +14%. FOX also won the night among Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-49/18-34 and all key male demos.
MASTERCHEF posted a 2.4/7 among Adults 18-49, its highest rated Wednesday performance ever in both Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (5.7 Mil.)
MASTERCHEF made significant gains versus last week, growing +20% among Adults 18-49 and +21% in Total Viewers.
In fact, compared to its prior season average on Wednesdays, last night’s MASTERCHEF showed increases of +14% among Adults 18-49 and +16% in Total Viewers.
This summer, FOX has won every Wednesday night on which MASTERCHEF has aired.
MASTERCHEF remains the highest rated new series of the summer among Adults 18-49.
Competition
ABC ran repeats of The Middle at 8p (1.2/4) and 830p (1.3/4), followed by repeats of Modern Family (1.7/5), Cougar Town (1.1/3), and Castle (1.0/3).
On CBS, Big Brother 12 (2.6/8) was down -10% from last week’s telecast. Repeats of Criminal Minds (1.6/5) and CSI: NY (1.2/4) followed at 9p and 10p.
NBC’s Minute To Win It (1.8/6) was flat week over week while America’s Got Talent (2.7/8) gained +8% from last week’s season low, but is down -7% from its prior Wednesday average. A repeat Law & Order: SVU posted a 1.8/5 at 10p.
The 10/11 season launch of The CW’s America’s Next Top Model (1.3/4) delivered its lowest premiere rating ever, down -13% from its Fall 09 debut on the same night last year (1.5/4). At 9p, the premiere of new drama Hellcats posted a 1.2/3, up +100% from the Beautiful Life premiere on 9/16/09 but down from -8% from last Fall’s Melrose Place premiere (9/08/09) and down -43% from the Vampire Diaries premiere (9/10/09).
