FOX Thursday comes in third overall against NBA Finals

Airing against the deciding Game 7 of the NBA Finals, an encore GLEE and the first SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE results show led FOX to rank No. 2 for the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.


At 8p an encore GLEE posted a 1.5/5 among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 2 in its hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

At 9p the first SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE results show posted a 2.2/6 among Adults 18-49 and was the highest-rated entertainment program of the night.

While last night’s episode ratings were significantly impacted by the NBA Finals (down -15% versus last Thursday), SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is showing impressive gains this summer compared to its Fall’09 average on Tue/Wed, increasing +21% among Adults 18-49, +16% among Adults 18-34, +25% among Teens and +23% in Total Viewers.

Competition
Due to the nature of live sports, Fast Nationals for ABC are approximate. Following Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night at 8p (4.6/17) and the NBA Finals Pre-Game at 830p (6.2/20), ABC’s NBA Finals Game 7: Boston Celtics vs. LA Lakers posted an 8.5/24 from 9-11p, up from last year’s series-deciding Game 5 (LA Lakers vs. Orlando Magic), which posted a 4.1/12 from 8-11p in the Fast Nationals before rising to a 5.7/17 from 8:02p-10:44p in the Finals (on Sunday 6/14/09). Last night’s game was also up from the NBA Finals’ most recent Game 7 (Detroit Pistons vs. San Antonio Spurs), which closed the 2005 series with a 6.2/18 from 9-11p in the Fast Nationals before rising to a 7.6/23 from 9:14p-12:04a in the Finals (on Thursday 6/23/05).

CBS aired repeats of The Mentalist at 8p (1.1/4), 10p (1.5/4) and CSI at 9p (1.5/4).

NBC ran a repeat Community (0.8/3) at 8p, followed by week four of 100 Questions (0.7/2, which was flat with the previous week. Repeats of The Office (1.0/3), 30 Rock (1.0/3), The Office (0.9/2) and Parks & Recreation (0.7/2) aired from 9-11p.
