With the season premiere of HELL’S KITCHEN and an original GLEE, FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.
HELL’S KITCHEN:
The season premiere of HELL’S KITCHEN posted a 2.9/9 among Adults 18-49, gaining +4% among Adults 18-49, +27% among Adults 18-34, +18% in Teens and +2% in Total Viewers versus last season’s premiere.
HELL’S KITCHEN ranked No. 2 in its 8p hour among Adults 18-49 (tie) and No. 1 in Adults 18-34 and Men 18-49.
GLEE:
At 9p GLEE posted a 3.8/11 among Adults 18-49, its highest rated telecast ever without an American Idol lead-in among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (9.0 Mil). GLEE was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.
Last night’s GLEE substantially outperformed its average last Fall with originals, increasing +15% among Adults 18-49, +14% among Adults 18-34, +33% among Teens and +23% in Total viewers.
This Spring, GLEE has outperformed its prior season originals average (Wed 9p) by +48% among Adults 18-49 (4.9/13 vs. 3.3/9), +39% among Adults 18-34 (5.0/14 vs. 3.6/11), +58% among Teens (3.8/13 vs. 2.4/9) and +60% among Total Viewers (11.7 vs. 7.3 Mil.)
Competition
A special preview of ABC’s Wipeout posted a 3.0/9 from 8-10p, down -9% from its season launch last summer (3.3/10 on Wednesday 5/27/09). The ABC News special 20/20: SuperHumans! followed with a 2.3/7 at 10p.
On CBS, NCIS (1.7/5), NCIS: LA (1.7/5) and The Good Wife (1.3/4) were all repeats.
The two-hour season premiere of NBC’s America’s Got Talent posted a 3.6/11 at 8p. New reality series Losing It With Jillian debuted with a 2.7/8 at 10p, dropping -25% from its lead-in and showing erosion in its hour, losing -11% of its A18-49 rating from 10p to 1030p (2.8/8 > 2.5/7).
