Fox with original ‘House’ wins 8pm hour

Last night, FOX aired an original HOUSE at 8pm, followed by a special FRINGE at 9p and placed second for the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and No. 1 among Teens and Men 18-34.


HOUSE:
In the 8p hour HOUSE posted a 4.6/12 among Adults 18-49, on par with its prior season average.  In Total Viewers HOUSE grew +2% over its prior season average (12.2 vs. 12.0 Mil.)
Last night’s HOUSE won the 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54, Teens and all key demos

FRINGE:
At 9p a special FRINGE delivered a 2.8/7 among Adults 18-49, up +22% from its last original telecast on 12/12/09.  
In addition, last night’s FRINGE grew +33% from its prior season average among Adults 18-49 (2.8/7 vs. 2.1/5), +38% among Adults 18-34 (2.2/6 vs. 1.6/5) and +39% in Total Viewers (7.8 vs. 5.6 Mil.)

Competition
ABC’s The Bachelor (3.6/9) was in line with its premiere last week (3.3/8) and Castle (2.6/7) was up from its last original telecast on 12/7/09.

CBS’ How I Met Your Mother (3.9/10), Accidentally on Purpose (3.2/8), Two & A Half Men (5.4/13) and Big Bang Theory (5.7/14) were all above their prior season averages.  At 10p, CSI: Miami posted a 3.7/10, down -10% from its last original telecast on 12/14/09.

The time period premiere of NBC’s Chuck (2.6/7) held close to its two-hour season launch on Sunday (2.9/7).  At 9p, Heroes (2.1/5) delivered its lowest original rating ever, down -5% from last week and falling -13% from its prior season average at 8p (2.4/6). The Jay Leno Show (1.6/4) was in line with its Monday average.
