Fox’s ‘House’ and ‘24’ outperform the entire house

Last night, Monday 01/25/10, HOUSE and 24 delivered a strong nightly win for FOX (4.3/11), outperforming the next-highest rated network by +19%.


* HOUSE posted a 5.2/13 among Adults 18-49 and delivered its highest number of Total Viewers (14.2 Mil) since week two of this season (9/28/09).  HOUSE was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49. 

* Compared to both last week and its prior season average HOUSE showed a gain of +13% among Adults 18-49 (5.2/13 vs. 4.6/12 for both).  In Total Viewers HOUSE showed gains of +16% (14.2 vs. 12.2 Mil) and +18% (vs. 12.0 Mil) compared to last week and its prior season average, respectively.

* HOUSE won its 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34/25-54, Teens and virtually all key demos.

* At 9p, ‘24’ posted a 3.3/8 among Adults 18-49, down -6% from last week (vs. 3.5/8). 

Competition
ABC’s The Bachelor (3.9/10) and Castle (3.1/8) were both on the high side of their prior season averages.
CBS aired repeats of How I Met Your Mother (2.1/6), Accidentally on Purpose (2.0/5), Two & A Half Men (3.8/9), Big Bang Theory (4.0/10) and CSI: Miami (2.6/7).
NBC’s Chuck (2.5/6) was on par while Heroes (1.9/5) fell -21% from its 2009/10 average (2.4/6).  The Jay Leno Show (1.2/3) matched its lowest Monday original ever.
The CW’s One Tree Hill (1.1/3) was followed by Life Unexpected (1.0/3) which dropped -17% from last week’s premiere (1.2/3).
