Sunday night, FOX aired encores of its animated favorites THE SIMPSONS (2.4/6), CLEVELAND (2.3/6), FAMILY GUY (2.8/7) and AMERICAN DAD (2.2/5).
Originals of TIL DEATH posted a 1.0/3 at 7p and 1.2/3 at 7:30p.
Competition
ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos (2.2/6) was average at 7p. Following a repeat Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (1.9/5) at 8p, Desperate Housewives (3.6/9) delivered its lowest original rating ever, falling -3% from last week’s telecast and -22% from its prior 09/10 average (4.6/11). Brothers & Sisters (2.6/7) at 10p was low, down -16% from its prior season average (3.1/8).
On CBS, 60 Minutes posted a low 1.7/5 while Amazing Race 16 (3.2/8) and Undercover Boss (5.0/12) were both on par with their recent averages. At 10p, Cold Case (2.4/6) was above average.
Following the one-hour special Vancouver Gold (4.8/14) at 7p, NBC’s Vancouver Olympics Closing Ceremonies delivered a 5.6/14, up from the closing of the most recent Winter Games in Torino, Italy which posted a 3.8/9 on 2/26/06.
Through all seventeen nights, the Vancouver Games outperformed the 2006 Games among Adults 18-49 (6.5/18 vs. 6.1/16) and Total Viewers (24.2 vs. 20.2 Mil). At 10:30p, a special preview of new reality series The Marriage Ref delivered a 4.8/13.
