'GLEE' was Fox's shining star Tuesday

With its Tuesday night comedy block of GLEE, RAISING HOPE and RUNNING WILDE, FOX ranked No.1 last night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens for the third week straight.


GLEE posted a 4.5/13 last night and was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.  GLEE was down -24% from last week (5.9/17), but is still +36% above its average last Fall with originals.  GLEE won the 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens, all key female demos and Men 18-49(tie)/18-34.

At 9p RAISING HOPE delivered a 2.6/7 among Adults 18-49, down -16% from last week (3.1/8).  Last night’s RAISING HOPE increased retention of its lead-in compared to last week (58% vs. 53%).  RUNNING WILDE at 9:30p posted a 1.8/5 among Adults 18-49, on par with last week’s episode (1.9/5). 

Competition

At 8p, new ABC drama No Ordinary Family recorded a 2.6/8, down -19% from its series debut one week ago (3.2/9). At 9p, week three of Dancing With The Stars results (3.2/9) dropped -16% week over week and -22% from its prior 10/11 average (4.1/11), showing week-to-week losses with every episode this season (4.4/11 > 3.8/10 > 3.2/9). At 10p, week three of Detroit 1-8-7 (1.8/5) delivered its lowest rating to date, dropping -44% from its DWTS lead-in and downtrending steadily with every episode on the air (2.3/7 > 2.1/6 > 1.8/5).

At 8p, CBS aired NCIS (3.7/11), down -10% from last week (4.1/12). NCIS: LA followed at 9p with a 3.4/9, down -8% versus last week (3.7/10). Through the first three weeks of the broadcast season, NCIS and NCIS: LA are both down -15% year-to-year (3.9/11 vs. 4.6/13 and 3.5/9 vs. 4.1/11). The Good Wife (2.5/7) finished the night flat versus its premiere last Tuesday, but through two weeks is down -19% from the comparable period last year (2.5/7 vs. 3.1/9).

On NBC, The Biggest Loser (2.5/7) posted its lowest rating in over three years, down -7% week over week and -11% from its prior season average (2.8/8). Through three weeks, the reality competition is down -23% vs. last fall (2.7/8 vs. 3.5/10). At 10p, Parenthood (2.0/6) matched its lowest original rating ever, down -17% from its prior season average (2.4/7).
