Glenn Beck has injected himself into the 2016 Presidential political discussion, so he is fair game in my book. The fact that he has endorsed Senator Cruz is in no way a disqualifier for Senator Cruz.

No one can really manage who dislikes them, nor who likes them, for that matter. That is where Cruz should leave it. I thought it really cheapened the Senator’s campaign when over the weekend at a rally in Iowa, Beck administered the Presidential oath of office to Cruz. No matter that Cruz, a constitutional attorney, flubbed it; it was unseemly.

Now to Beck. Beck has routinely criticized candidate Trump for showmanship, for treading on his television fame, for who he knows, for being a braggart, for his past indiscretions, for being Trump, I guess. All the things that Beck seems to be working so hard himself to become, yet failing miserably.

If you watch or listen to Beck he has all the answers. All of them. Every single answer to every single problem that we face. Amazing. All of them. It’s really quite remarkable.

But that is his shtick. And I mean shtick.

I have thought about writing about Beck before and dismissed it. I even tried to call him three times to get his views, get him to respond to my questions. But, the most interesting thing happens. One cannot reach him. Try it. Call his office and ask for him.

It is hard to find the number and if you do reach anyone it is a production house in Dallas that will “pass your message along” to Senor Beck. Legitimacy or showmanship? If his ratings are any indication, it’s the later, and those aren’t anything to brag about.
