Glenn Miller ads spin out string of pearls for those he hates

Entercom, which owns radio stations compelled to run racist and anti-Semitic ads from a write-in candidate for US Senate, has found a way to somewhat turn the tables – it will take the cash generated from the buys on KMBZ-AM in Kansas City and donate it to African American and Jewish organizations.

ABC KMBC-TV, a Hearst-Argyle station operating in the market, says the cash generated from Miller’s ad flights will go to Olathe Chapter of the NAACP and the Jewish Community Relation Board.

KMBZ has said that its hands are tied and that it is forced to run the ads unedited, although it has been running disclaimers alongside the ads. Meanwhile, the Missouri Broadcasters Association is challenging the legitimacy of Miller’s campaign.

According to KMBC, KMBZ talker Scott Parks said, “We’re going to give the money to the very people he hates.”
