Google is opening temporary showrooms, “Winter Wonderlabs,” in six US. cities, promoting its latest products and stepping up its game against Apple and Microsoft as the holiday shopping season gets under way. They include Roseville (Sacramento), CA, New York City, Aurora (Chicago), IL, Paramus, NJ, Annapolis, MD and Canoga Park (LA), CA.
The outlets feature Nexus 7 tablets, Chromebook computers and Chromecast video-streaming devices, the company said on its http://winterwonderlab.withgoogle.com website. Consumers can order the devices online after giving them a test run. The stores also feature a large snow globe that lets customers take videos of themselves, complete with fake snow, says a Bloomberg report.
“The Winter Wonderlab is a fun and interactive way to experience all of Google’s new gadgets in one place,” the company said on the website.
