Powered by Sunday’s “Night of Premieres,” featuring part 2 of “Hannah Montana’s” Season 3 finale, the record-setting Season 2 premiere of “Sonny With A Chance” and an all-new “JONAS”, Disney Channel was the week’s No. 1 TV network in Total Day in Tweens 9-14 (474,000/1.9 rating) for the 5th week running.

In Prime, Disney Channel ranked as cable’s No. 1 network in Total Viewers (2.5 million), and extended its streak in target kids to 258 consecutive weeks in Kids 6-11 (1.0 million/4.1 rating) and to 254 straight weeks in Tweens 9-14 (796,000/3.3 rating).
 
Besting last week’s part 1, Sunday’s part 2 of “Hannah Montana’s” Season 3 finale (7:30 – 8:00 p.m.) registered the net’s best numbers in the time period ever, standing as cable’s No. 1 telecast in Total Viewers (6.9 million) and TV’s No. 1 telecast in Kids 6-11 (2.4 million/9.9 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.4 million/9.7 rating).

In Total Viewers, Sunday’s airing became the series’ most-watched telecast since its record-setting post-“High School Musical 2” telecast (8/17/07), and ranked 4th among its 84 original telecasts to date.

In Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, it was the show’s top-rated telecast since last summer’s one-hour special (7/5/09).

Sunday’s part 2 out-delivered last week’s part 1 by 10% in Total Viewers (6.9 million vs. 6.3 million), by 4% in Kids 6-11 (2.4 million vs. 2.3 million) and by 9% in Tweens 9-14 (2.4 million vs. 2.2 million).

The Season 2 debut of “Sonny With A Chance” (8:00 – 8:30 p.m.) became the series’ No. 1 telecast on record in Total Viewers (5.9 million), Kids 6-11 (2.4 million/9.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.3 million/9.4 rating).

“Sonny’s” Season 2 opener surged over its series launch in February 09 by 44% in Total Viewers (5.9 million vs. 4.1 million), by 33% in Kids 6-11 (2.4 million vs. 1.8 million) and by 53% in Tweens 9-14 (2.3 million vs. 1.5 million).

“Sonny’s” opener delivered the net’s best numbers in the time period in Total Viewers, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 in more than 8 months – – since 7/5/09.

Among all regularly scheduled cable series, “Phineas and Ferb” stood as the week’s No. 1 series in Kids 6-11 (1.1 million/4.5 rating, 6 telecasts), while “Hannah Montana” was the No. 1 series in Tweens 9-14 (892,000/3.7 rating, 20 telecasts).

In Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel held TV’s Top 3 telecasts, and the Top 4 scripted telecasts overall:  “Hannah Montana” (No. 1 – 2.4 million/9.7 rating, Sun., 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.), “Sonny With A Chance” (No. 2 – 2.3 million/9.4 rating, Sun., 8:00 – 8:30 p.m.), “Hannah Montana” (No. 3 – 1.6 million/6.5 rating, Sun., 7:00 – 7:30 p.m.) and “JONAS” (No. 4 – 1.3 million/5.5 rating, Sun., 8:30 – 9:00 p.m.).

In Kids 6-11, Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 2 telecasts, and 4 of the Top 5 live-action telecasts overall: “Hannah Montana” (No. 1 – 2.4 million/9.9 rating, Sun., 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.), “Sonny With A Chance” (No. 2 – 2.4 million/9.7 rating, Sun., 8:00 – 8:30 p.m.), “Hannah Montana” (No. 3 – 1.7 million/6.8 rating, Sun., 7:00 – 7:30 p.m.) and “JONAS” (No. 5 – 1.5 million/6.1 rating, Sun., 8:30 – 9:00 p.m.).

Playhouse Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” stood among TV’s Top 10 programs in target preschoolers Kids 2-5 (No. 8 – 689,000/4.2 rating).
