hardDrive presents two holiday shows

USRNUnited Stations Radio Networks says its weekly rock program, hardDrive with Lou Brutus, will offer radio stations two different holiday special editions of the program, one Christmas-themed episode set for broadcast the weekend prior to Christmas and a year-end episode schedule to air on the weekend between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

For the pre-Christmas Holiday weekend, the weekly 2-hour edition of hardDrive presents its annual show titled “NITEMARE B4 XMAS”.   This is 17th annual edition of this holiday installment, and the stories presented are not your typical warm and fuzzy items normally delivered at the holidays.   Tales told in this show include the discovery that there is no Santa, or, in the case of Billy Howerdel of A Perfect Circle, his tale is how his family’s home was robbed at the holidays and how he saved the day by memorizing the serial number on his beloved boombox so their valuables could be identified and returned!    Guests on the “NITEMARE B4 XMAS” show include Alice in Chains, Deftones, Halestorm, Redlight King and Stone Temple Pilots.   Plus the show will spotlight some off-beat holiday tunes like Jim Breuer’s “Santa Claus Ain’t Coming to Town” and Corey Taylor’s “Xma$.”

Then one week later, the hardDrive staff will be presenting their “MIXED UP YEAR IN REVIEW.”  That show will present the top 50 most played songs of the year in Active Rock as tallied by MediaBase and will be accompanied by interviews with some of the biggest rock artists including Three Days Grace, Pop Evil, Volbeat, Young Guns and Dave Grohl, along with news stories in the world of new rock.

hardDrive is a two-hour weekly long-form program that contains new rock music, artist interviews, news and information on all things in the world of new rock music.  The program is hosted by Lou Brutus the award-winning former air personality at such notable stations as WMMR/Philadelphia, WHJY/Providence, WHFS/Washington, DC and WRCX/Chicago.
