Emmis Communications and Illinois National Insurance have taken the next step in their legal dispute.
Emmis filed a breach-of-contract suit against its insurer in January for refusing to cover $4 million in legal fees the broadcaster racked up in a long court fight with preferred shareholders. The insurance firm denies many of the allegations.
