The Illinois Broadcasters Association plans to honor Emily Barr, President/CEO of Post-Newsweek Stations with IBA’s “Vincent T. Wasilewski Broadcaster of the Year Award” 6/18 in Champaign-Urbana.
Emily has held the title at Post-Newsweek since July 2012. Prior to joining Post-Newsweek Stations, Barr served as the President and General Manager of ABC 7 in Chicago and has served as IBA Chairman of the Board for two non-consecutive terms. Emily serves on the boards on Internet Broadcasting, TVB, the Emma Bowen Foundation, and the NAB in addition to many Chicago area charities.
