iHeart RadioiHeartMedia says its iHeartRadio digital music and streaming radio service now has gone beyond 80 million registered users.

It was at 70 million over the summer; the company says the growth rate surpasses Facebook or other radio or digital music services. The real number could be greater, according to the broadcaster, because the 80 million figure doesn’t include un-registered listeners to its live radio stations.

“In just five years, we’ve seen continued powerful growth in our registered user base — a testament to the power of radio and listening,” says Darren Davis, President of iHeartRadio.

iHeartRadio has been downloaded more than 850 million times, has 80 million social media followers and is now available on 80 device models, spanning in-home entertainment, wearables, gaming, mobile and auto. Earlier this month at CES the company announced seven integrations on seven new platforms, including Apple TV, the launch of iHeartRadio in Canada and a partnership with Universal Music Group.
