Jarad sells Hampton Bays FM

Richard Anderson likes WLIR-FM Hampton Bays NY enough to buy it twice. The Class A FM is on the eastern side of Long Island, out of range of the Nassau-Suffolk and New York City media markets.

The seller is Jarad Broadcasting Company of Hampton Bays LLC, headed by Ron Morey.

A deal for the station was originally struck by Holding Out Hope Church d/b/a WLIX Radio, which called itself a non-profit entity. That deal was memorialized on a contract dated 2/9/11, and called for a $650K cash price tag.

A little over a week later, Anderson went in on an assignment and assumption deal, in which WLIX agreed to turn over the right to buy the station to Livingstone Broadcasting Inc., a commercial operation which also featured Anderson as a principal, along with Vincent Trapani. $10.00 is changing hands to seal the second deal.

The Class A operates on 107.1 MHz with 4.1 kHz off a 397’ HAAT stick.
