Jensen achieves group status with Nebraska AM-FM combo

Mark G. Jensen’s MWB Broadcasting II LLC is doubling the number of AMs it owns, the number of FMs it owns and the number of markets it serves with a freshly-filed deal for an AM-FM combo in Ord NE.

The stations are KNLV AM-FM. They are being sold by Sand Hills Advertising Corporation, headed by E. Eugene McCoy Jr. The price is $550K, $200K of which will be paid in cash and $350K of which will be handled via seller paper. $5K is allocated to a three-year non-compete.

Jensen already owns KAWL-AM and KTMX-FM in York NE.

Neither Ord nor York is in rated territory, nor are they close enough to one another to trigger local ownership cap concerns. York is about 45 miles west of state capital Lincoln, and Ord is about 120 miles northwest of York.
