Kenneth C. Hill will be getting a second Tennessee full power station, while Journal Broadcast Group pares down its Knoxville TN cluster to three FMs. It’s strictly a stick deal.

The station is WKTI-AM Powell TN. The Class D on 1040 is a 10 kW day-timer with good coverage of Knoxville with a signal that is oriented to the northwest.

The buyer’s license company is WMCH Radio Inc. It will pay $65K for the station.

The deal does not include a number of items – Journal will hang on to the stations studio and office facility and items contained therein, it will keep the intellectual property and it will retain rights to the call letters.

Hill’s other full power station is noncommercial WHCB-FM Bristol TN in the Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol market. It uses a religious format. Hill also has numerous FM translators in Tennessee, including one in Knoxville.
