Kantar Media: US ad spend increased 5.7% in Q1

KantarTotal advertising expenditures increased 5.7% in the first quarter of 2014 to $34.9 billion, according to data released recently by Kantar Media. Every measured type of television had expenditure increases in Q1. Network TV increased 14.5% with about one-half of this growth coming from the Winter Olympics. Higher spending on the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl also contributed to the gains.


Results for Radio media were mixed.
