Key Horizon Media Exec Finalized For FOX News Ad Sales Role

Marianne Gambelli, presently the EVP/Chief Investment Officer at Horizon Media, will have a new boss on May 22. His name is Rupert Murdoch.


In a move announced Monday (5/8), Gambelli is taking the role of President/Advertising Sales for 21st Century Fox’s FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX Business Network (FBN).

“We are delighted to add Marianne to our executive management team,” Murdoch said. “Her reputation for client management, along with her ability to monetize investments, seek out new and emerging technologies and create innovative media partnerships has made her a leader in the industry.”

Gambelli added, “I’m proud to be representing the powerful FOX News brand and I am beyond excited to lead a very talented sales team to capitalize on this new era in news.”

At Horizon Media, Gambelli managed its $7 billion investment portfolio and was responsible for a team of more than 350 general market investment specialists. She actively developed key new business acquisitions across top-tier brands.

Notably, Gambelli joined Horizon Media in 2012 after a stint as President/Sales and Marketing at NBC Universal. Gambelli worked at NBC Universal from 1990 until her departure to Horizon Media, overseeing partnerships and strategy across NBC’s News, Sports and Entertainment brands.

Gambelli is considered one of the most influential women in the advertising industry.

She is currently a Board Member of the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) Foundation.
