If your station is in the district served by one of the members serving on the House Communications Subcommittee with Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR), your professional colleagues would no doubt like you to keep the Rep well-versed in the challenges and needs of the greater broadcasting community.
The Democrats have not yet named the Reps who will sit on the minority side of the aisle, but there is no reason to believe the Ranking Member slot will change hands – it is currently held by Anna Eshoo (D-CA).
Current full committee chair Fred Upton (R-MI) and recent past full committee Republican leader Joe Barton (R-TX) participate in all Energy and Commerce Subcommittees. Upton is also a past chair of the Communications Subcommittee.
