CRC Media West’s Fox Sports Affiliate “The New Team 1010” KXPS-AM in the Palm Springs market has partnered with the Clippers for the 2011-12 NBA season, expanding the Clipper’s radio network. Team 1010 will carry over 50 Clippers regular season games plus the post season beginning 1-4 when the Houston Rockets come to the Staples Center to take on Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and the rest of the new and vastly-improved Clippers.

“We are thrilled to have KXPS on our radio network, the Clippers have a tremendous following in the desert and we are so happy to partner with KXPS.” commented Clippers radio play-by-play voice Brian Siemen, “It’s a good time to be a Clipper, and KXPS will be there every step of the way.” The Clippers hope to re-cultivate Clippers Nation in the Valley after spending pre-seasons here in the past.

“The Clippers dedication to adding quality personnel to win was a major factor in helping us make this programming decision,” added Team 1010 PD Brian Jewett. “It also perfectly fits in our new direction of bringing more local and Southern California sports and sports talk to the Coachella Valley.”

In addition to the game broadcast, there will be an increased Clipper presence on the new station’s web site which will be unveiled shortly and with special shows and features as the season progresses.

The New Team 1010 is re-localizing sports radio in the Coachella Valley, including Nick and Artie at night along with Local and SoCal features and shows throughout the day. It also airs national hosts Dan Patrick and Jim Rome and offers play-by-play coverage of NFL regular season and playoffs, NCAA key Basketball matchups and March Madness and USC Football.
