CBS’s “THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON” DELIVERS LARGEST AUDIENCE SINCE PREMIERE WEEK


“Late Show with David Letterman” Continues Its Viewer Advantage Over
“The Tonight Show”

CBS’s THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON delivered its largest audience since premiere week while LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN continued to lead “The Tonight Show” in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 15, which was highlighted by late night host drama.

THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON posted a 1.5/05 in households with 2.10m viewers, 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, 0.6/04 in adults 18-49 and 0.5/03 in adults 18-34.  LATE LATE SHOW delivered its largest audience since premiere week (the week ending Sept. 27, 2009).  LATE LATE SHOW beat “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” in households (vs. 1.1/04, +36%), viewers (vs. 1.56m, +35%) and tied in adults 25-54. 

LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN posted a 3.1/08 in households with an average of 4.49m viewers, up +3% in households (from 3.0/08) and +7% in viewers (from 4.21m) compared to the same week last year.  In key demographics, LATE SHOW averaged a 1.4/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.0/04 in adults 18-49.  LATE SHOW beat “The Tonight Show” by +29% in both households (vs. 2.4/06) and viewers (vs. 3.49m).
