Long Island FM duo going to JVC

I.W. LLC, which is part of Al Kaneb’s Barnstable Group, is spinning off a pair of FMs located on New York’s Long Island. The stations, WKJI-FM Center Moriches NY and WRCN-FM Riverhead NY are going to JVC Media LLC.

According to brokerage Kalil & Co., which represented the seller, the stations will join a cluster that already includes WBON-FM and WPTY-FM. Richard L. Sharpe represented the buyer in the transaction.

Barnstable still has a presence in the market, with WBZO-FM, WHLI-AM, WKJY-FM & WMJC-FM, which Kalil places on the central part of Long Island.

Terms of the deal were not announced, but contracts have been signed and paperwork is heading for the FCC.
