WSKY-TV serves the Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News DMA from its city of license Manteo NC, in the DMA’s southern extremity in North Carolina’s Outer Banks area. The station’s president/GM has opted to pursue other interests and is cashing out his share in the station.
The station has moved to Channel 9, but still operates mostly as a virtual Channel 4 outlet, with a program lineup consisting of reruns and paid programming. It’s licensed to Sky Television LLC.
Glenn V. Holterhaus is the exiting executive. His stake in the station is listed as 51% of the vote and 30% of the assets, all of which will revert to a lengthy list of remaining shareholders. W.T. Lamb III is listed as manager of the surviving shareholder group.
Holterhaus will receive $125K and will be relieved of any responsibility for any of the station’s liabilities.
