J. Ralph Carter dead at 61
For nearly 40 years, J. Ralph Carter was a fixture in radio and television in his hometown of Pueblo, CO. Now, KOAA-TV (NBC) reports that its former weatherman has died after a year-long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease.” Carter was 61.
Over the years, Carter worked at most of the radio and TV outlets in Pueblo. He most recently had been General Manager of KCCY-FM, but had still filled in on-air at KOAA from time to time.
