Fox News Radio launches iPhone app
New on the Apple app store is the Fox News Radio (FNR) iPhone app, providing real-time access to FNR programming. The ad-supported app is free for downloading.
The new app uses Flycast’s new appMobi cross-media mobile development and deployment platform. Android and iPad versions are due to be released in the coming weeks.
“We wanted to deliver an exceptional experience to our listeners, we were searching for a mobile app development environment that was totally flexible from a design perspective, could be deployed to multiple platforms quickly, had built-in monetization and commerce capabilities, and most importantly, delivered a quality streaming experience. appMobi delivered on all fronts,” said William Sanchez, FNR Director of Web Operations.
In addition to FNR audio programming, including hourly live news updates, the app provides access to Fox News Channel Primetime programming replays and includes a real-time news ticker.
RBR-TVBR observation: The iPhone is the place you need to be these days. If your station isn’t there with an app, you need to start planning the move.
