McGraw-Hill lays off 600
The McGraw-Hill Companies announced that it cut 600 jobs in Q4 and will take a restructuring charge of 43.7 million bucks when it reports financial results for the quarter. The company’s TV group was not mentioned in the announcement, but there were cuts in the Business-to-Business Group of the Information and Media segment, including BusinessWeek, J.D. Power and Associates, Platts, McGraw-Hill Construction and Aviation Week. In all, Information and Media accounted for 6.7 million of the restructuring charge.
