BET founder betting on Clinton

Black Entertainment Television founder Bob Johnson (who has since moved on from the company) defended the earlier comments of former Rep./VP candidate Geraldine Ferraro (D-NY), who put herself in the middle of a firestorm after making remarks about Barack Obama (D-IL). Johnson said Ferraro was correct, that Obama would not be as far along in the 2008 campaign if he were not black. He said a white freshman senator from Illinois would not start off with a 90% claim on the black vote, and said that the Obama campaign was hyper-sensitive to criticism. That perhaps why the campaign responded that it was all "...just one in a long line of absurd comments by Bob Johnson and other Clinton supporters who will say or do anything to get the nomination."
