A survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 49% of Americans think there should be federal regulation of what’s on the Internet, just like FCC regulation of broadcasting. Women are more likely to favor the idea than men.
“Should the Federal Communications Commission regulate the Internet like it does radio and television?” the polling company asked 1,500 adults in mid-June. 49% said yes, 35% no and 16% were undecided.

But 55% of women said, yes, the Internet should be regulated like radio and TV. 25% opposed and 20% were undecided.

Among men, 46% were against regulation, 42% in favor and 12% undecided.
