Karmazin names Sam Benrubi SVP/Ad Sales?
RBR sources tell us Sirius XM CEO Mel Karmazin has replaced its SVP/Ad Sales Paul Turcotte with Sam Benrubi. Turcotte, who we heard was terminated this week, was named to the post in early 2008. Ironically, Benrubi previously led ad sales at Sirius and reported to Turcotte after his demotion. He then oversaw ad sales for The Howard Stern Show, and Howard 100 and Howard 101, the two 24/7 channels dedicated to all things Howard Stern. Benrubi, who led network and local sales teams at Westwood One and Infinity Broadcasting, was named SVP/Ad Sales at Sirius in 2005. Sirius XM declined comment.
