AMEX launches new spot with Tina Fey, Martin Scorsese

American Express announced the launch of its latest television spot featuring comedian and actress Tina Fey showcasing how American Express provides exclusive travel benefits for Platinum Card members. The spot, part of its “Are you a Cardmember?” brand campaign, takes place in an airport where Tina has a chance encounter with Martin Scorsese who asks her to join him in the airport lounge. Tina’s coach ticket to Paris does not provide access to the lounge and she’s determined to find a way to get in.

In addition to the television spot, a new print ad, shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz, portrays Tina as a world traveler and captures her sense of humor about travel. The television spot will debut on major broadcast outlets starting July 3, and the print ad appears in the July issues of several monthly mags.
