Earl Jones out at Petry Media
Looks like the big losses this year of Gannett, Dispatch Broadcast, Fisher and others have taken their toll: Petry confirms with TVBR that Earl Jones has stepped down as CEO of Petry Media. In his place is Val Napolitano, who was CEO of the Petry Television division. Petry Television DOS Steve Capozzoli is now managing director of the division. Julie Holmberg-Bowyer is still President and CEO of the Blair Television division.
Petry also lost some of the Nexstar stations and stations Raycom purchased from Lincoln Financial: WWBT Richmond, VA; WSCS Charleston, SC and WBTV Charlotte.
Petry also lost Tim McAuliff and Blair CEO Leo MacCourtney last summer. MacCourtney ended up at Katz Television.
