AOL’s FanHouse signs with NBC Local Media
AOL and NBC Local Media announced that local sports content from FanHouse.com is now featured across NBC Local Media sites. FanHouse local sports commentary and blog posts will be available directly on NBC Local Media sites and will include links to blog posts on FanHouse.com. This marks the first blog syndication deal for both FanHouse.com and NBC Local Media. It is part of the broader strategy of AOL’s MediaGlow publishing unit to extend the reach of its content across the Web. FanHouse.com is the first new site launched in 2009 by MediaGlow, formed in January to centralize AOL’s publishing efforts.
“We are excited to provide local content for the sports enthusiast across NBC Local sites and to expand the FanHouse reach,” said Marty Moe, Senior Vice President, AOL Money & Finance, News, FanHouse, Weblogs and KOL. “Sports fans want to hear the latest buzz on their local teams and also get local information and news from outside the sports world. By delivering FanHouse content in an integrated and interactive format to NBC Local Media users, we are helping to provide an engaging experience across the Web.”
NBC Local Media features numerous daily FanHouse posts across its sites including:
