Multichannel Internet radio station AccuRadio – and specifically its new “AccuTunes” interface – was announced as the winner of the People’s Voice award for "Best Radio" in the 12th Annual Webby Awards. The BBC World Service was named as the other Webby Award winner in the “Best Radio” category, in the judged competition.

AccuRadio was the only commercial U.S. radio property nominated for a “Best Radio” award this year.  AccuTunes (accutunes.com) was launched in January 2008 as a new graphical user interface for the over 320 channels of Internet radio programmed by AccuRadio. AccuTunes was designed by a team that includes AccuRadio CEO Kurt Hanson, VP/Programming Paul Maloney, and VP/Technology Ralph Sledge.
