AOL Radio launches three new themed stations
AOL Radio has announced the launch of three new themed stations: Kidz Stuff!, Oktoberfest and Halloween.
Programmed specifically for young children, Kidz Stuff features music from a variety of artists and franchises including Sesame Street, Kidz Bop, Laurie Berkner Band, The Wiggles, Ralph's World and Disney. This station joins AOL Radio's selection of kids programming that includes Lullabies and Kids Pop, a station geared towards toward tweens.
In addition, AOL Radio has launched two October themed stations. In celebration of the worldwide celebration, AOL Radio's Oktoberfest station combines traditional German folk music with polka, while the Halloween station combines classic horror movie soundtracks with popular artists including Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie.
"We're always looking to provide our listeners with an unparalled selection of stations that span a myriad of genres and themes," said Lisa Namerow, general manager of AOL Radio.
AOL Radio, the most trafficked Internet radio portal according to the August comScore Media Metrix, features more than 350 free online radio stations that include AOL programmed stations, as well as popular CBS Radio stations.
