Vegas gathering drew a crowd
As the NAB Show in Las Vegas wraps up today, the NAB announced that the event drew 105,259 attendees. Within that there were 28,310 international attendees, a record high, so more than a quarter of the people who showed up for this year’s convention were from outside the United States.
RBR/TVBR observation: Hardly surprising. It seemed that every time we turned around we were seeing a convention badge that said Stockholm, Tokyo or some other place that we’d like to have stamped in our passport someday. Noticeably absent, though, were many American radio executives that we would normally have seen in the past. With budgets tight, many had to drop the Las Vegas show from their travels this year.
