Even though monopoly lovers over at Motley Fool remain in shock that the FCC has not yet ratified the DOJ’s stunning and inexplicable approval for the XM/Sirius merger, a vote on that topic is not listed on the new early bird special May Open Meeting Sunshine Notice. According to the Fool, Clear Channel is now trying to block the deal. Fool’s Rick Aristotle Munarriz wonders, if the deal is so bad for consumers, shouldn’t radio companies be in favor of the merger, “when it might funnel listeners back to terrestrial radio?” As for hints as to which direction it is leaning, the FCC really isn’t offering any.
