Adding to its previous deal with Grupo Radio Centro for quick access to Mexico radio stations, CCME announced (7/28) the addition of Mexico’s Grupo ACIR radio stations to its iHeartRadio digital streaming platform.

The addition will provide instant access to some of the most recognized Mexican national radio brands such as Amor, featuring Spanish love songs; Mix, playing Mexico’s favorite songs from the 80s, 90s and today in English; and La Comadre, a Mexican Regional Hits format.  Listeners will also have access to top Hispanic personalities like Alejandro Villalvazo, Antonio de Valdés, Charo Fernández, Sofía Sánchez Navarro, Iñaki Manero, Rocío Córdova, Carlos “Chicken” Muñoz,Carlos Martín Huerta, José Martín Sámano, Alex Montiel, Pepe Segarra, Arturo “Rudo” Rivera and more. In addition, iHeartRadio will stream select local ACIR stations such as Siempre, Mexico City’s music, news and sports station, and La 1260, Mexico City’s AM News/Talk station.

Editor’s Note: As of October 2018 1260 kHz is now home to grupero-focused regional Mexican brand “La Comadre.” Additionally, the “Felicidad” Oldies format in operation in 2014 by Grupo ACIR is now discontinued.

Clear Channel will also become the digital ad sales provider for these market-leading Mexican stations replacing all local Mexican station ads with consumer-targeted U.S. ads.  Serving Hispanics across the U.S., the iHeartRadio Hispanic Network includes a unique collection of assets providing advertising partners large-scale reach to nearly 93% of the U.S. Spanish and English-speaking Hispanic population.

“We are excited to offer our listeners and advertising partners more availability to high quality Hispanic programming through iHeartRadio,” said Darren Davis, President of Clear Channel’s Networks Group. “We look forward to expanding the reach of ACIR’s stations and providing listeners seamless access to them anytime and anywhere they are across the U.S.”

“We are very happy that our stations will be available on the iHeartRadio platform and that we can reach the growing Hispanic community in the U.S.,” said Antonio Ibarra, VP and General Manager of ACIR.  “We are sure that listeners will enjoy our content and look forward to a successful partnership.”
