U.S. financial markets exhibited a split personality on Wednesday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 57.11, to 21,410.03, while the Nasdaq composite climbed 45.92, to 6,233.95.
Driving the momentum for media industry stocks was Veritone. The company, which on Tuesday released its first Q1 earnings since its recent IPO, surged 6.1%, to $13.69.
Also up on Wednesday were Cumulus Media (+4.9% to 42 cents) and CBS Corp. (+3.2%, to $62.57).
Meanwhile, Pandora shares continued their rebound, rising 7%, to $7.51.
