M&M, which owns Country Merle FM (WMYL-FM) and WYSH-AM in Knoxville has filed a lawsuit against the owner of WNOX-FM (Johnny Pirkle) there over its sale to Journal Broadcasting.

On 12/20, Journal announced it bought WNOX, making it the fourth radio station Journal it owns in Knoxville, along with Q93, Star 102.1 and Hot 104.5. The FCC still must approve the deal.

Shortly after the announcement, M&M Broadcasting filed a lawsuit against Pirkle, saying it had a deal to buy WNOX, but in the final days, M&M says Journal intervened and instead got the deal, reports WBIR-TV.
