Speaking Tuesday morning (2/7) during the FCC Commissioners’ Breakfast at the Multicultural Media & Telecommunications Council (MMTC) 8th Annual Broadband and Social Justice Summit at the Westin Georgetown Hotel in NW Washington, Michael O’Rielly doubted that a pilot program designed to bring more transparency to the FCC would be scrubbed.

If it made the jobs of FCC staff more difficult, so be it, he said.

At the same time, Democratic Commissioner Mignon Clyburn supports the program but believes “it still needs a little tweaking around the edges.”

Later in the day, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai responded to Clyburn.
