pilot-logoAre you ready to innovate?

NAB’s tech arm Pilot is posing an innovation challenge to recognize creative ideas that encompass technological advances in content production, distribution and display.

Applicants should answer: “How can local television and radio broadcasters engage their communities with next generation on any device, whether big, small or moving?”

You must submit a title, description of your proposed concept, illustration and a business case explaining your concept’s viability.

A panel of judges from the broadcast, venture capital, media and technology industries will choose 10 semi-finalists in late September. The panel will determine if the submission addresses the challenge question and evaluate it for creativity, the value it holds for broadcasters and consumers and of course, the concept’s viability.

The first place winner will receive $20,000, second place $15,000 and third place $10,000 to assist with prototyping the winning concepts. The top three winners will receive guidance from experts, access to key broadcast executives and exclusive exposure at industry events like NAB Show New York (Nov. 9-10) and the spring NAB Show.

Submit entries by Sept. 23 here: http://nabpilot.org/challenge/
