NAB trainee gets Vicksburg AM

Michael M. Davis is the head of Costar Broadcast Group, the beneficiary in the donation of WQBC-AM Vicksburg MS. Davis is described on the application as a “2004-2005 top tier graduate of the National Association of Broadcasters leadership training program…”


It goes on, saying that the program “…is designed to help facilitate senior level broadcast industry women and minorities who want to own and operate radio and television stations and/or advance as group managers.”

Grace Media International, which lists itself as Corley-Rushing Communications LLC, is donating the station. It is headed by Michael F. Corley.

Davis’s company will do business as Costar Radio Ministry Partners. The license remains commercial.

The station is a Class B on 1420 kHz with 1 kw-D, 500 w-N off of a non-directional antenna.
